My name is Gwyne and I've loved photography since I was 10.  What started out as a hobby of photographing my children (Other Pictures link) and friends has grown because of word-of-mouth and this website.    I love taking pictures that capture events or tell stories, therefore I shoot with a photojournalistic style.  

During a shoot, I try to make everyone feel comfortable and relaxed so the pictures will be more natural. 

I have high standards for the pictures I take and I make every effort to only take the poses that you want.   I also ask a lot of questions so that I can try to capture the style of photograph that you will be pleased with. 

I started focusing on beach photography because of living in a tourist area which just happens to have incredibly beautiful beaches.    I know that if it were me coming to the beach for a vacation, I'd want pictures of my whole family while here.   And, of course, I'd like to be IN the shots for once.   Again, if it were me, I'd want my negatives so that I could enlarge or reprint at my convenience.    I try to provide the type of service that I'd hope to receive.

For weddings, I chose to not retain the negatives.  I'm aware that this is extremely against the norm.  But why be normal?   As stated above.... if it were my wedding, I'd want the negatives to be able to do with as I pleased.   Considering that 90% of my clients are from out-of-state...it is more convenient for them to have their negatives rather than having to go through me.   I know, I know....I could make more money on the reprints and enlargements!   I chose to charge a flat price for a package and leave it at that.
